1914-S $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle Pre 33 PCGS MS65 Amazing Flashy Gem
This better date is really tough to find in choice MS65 condition. Only 1,498,000 were minted, many were melted down and never circulated. The denomination was created as a means of exhausting an overage in gold supply due to the 1849 California Gold Rush. They were never intended for general use in commerce as the amount easily equated to a month's wage during the time of issue - making them impractical to carry as a coin. PCGS encapsulation offers protection and guarantees the MS-65 condition of the coin.
Older PCGS holder used many years ago. Amazingly rare to find in this high grade. Conservatively graded in our opinion, PQ++.
